SYNOPSIS

n a village in Sumatra, Rakat, a 17-year-old teenager, is forced to participate with his father and uncle slaughtering dogs as part of the family business. Even though he feels nauseous and terrified, he is compelled to join in. When night falls, Rakat is taught by his uncle and father to slaughter a dog. The next day, while Rakat is cleaning the dog kennels, he secretly releases one dog from its cage, despite knowing the risks. Later, when he is ordered to deliver dog meat to his uncle, Rakat chooses to hide and discovers that the dog he set free is dying. He tries to help it by offering water and bread, but the dog refuses. As a result, Rakat is forced to give it dog meat. Even though he managed to save the dog, Rakat is still haunted by deep feelings of guilt. Meanwhile, the motorcycle that once transported the dogs passes by him, highlighting the difficult situation he faces.
