SYNOPSIS

In a besieged Leningrad, a girl accidentally loses her blockade bread ration during a bombing. She is found by a strange old woman. This Old Woman turns out to be Death with scissors, which she cuts the threads of life of dying people in the city. But at the last moment Death saves the girl's life.
