SYNOPSIS

“They say, mastering the ‘Hiok’ blade technique, forges one into a pure and resolute individual, capable of transcending the future.” In the heart of the White Shirt, there lies a particular sword technique, a stone staircase, and an archway, representing the desires he has yet to overcome. One day, during an examination, his sword is confiscated by his master, leaving White Shirt feeling frustrated. He descends the mountain to clear his mind, unaware that a true trial is about to unfold. Inspired by the phrase "no eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, or mind" from the Heart Sutra, this film script is set against a backdrop of war, aiming to showcase alternative problem-solving methods beyond mere violence. 布袋戲(BuDaiXi) or Taiwanese glove puppetry, is one of Taiwan's traditional arts, with a rich history and cultural significance. Originally performed live with handheld puppets, it has flourished in Taiwan's film and television industry in recent decades, becoming a unique aspect of local culture. This film, driven by innovation, seeks to break through past technical limitations, aiming to present a distinctive genre of martial arts puppetry to audiences worldwide.
