SYNOPSIS

Eric meets Jessica in a bookstore, love at first sight (in his eyes). They plan a dinner date for later that night, and Eric leaves to rob a bank with a friend to get the money he believes he needs. While driving away, Eric's friend grows frustrated with Eric's obliviousness and leaves with the money. Eric follows and is thrown into a series of surreal situations, culminating with a Civil War surgeon forcibly amputating Eric's arm. Somehow Eric arrives at his dinner date with Jessica only a few minutes late. Despite (or maybe because of) Eric's eagerness, the date does not go well. Jessica leaves, and Eric follows after her - having lost both his money and his pride.
