SYNOPSIS

My friend Yohei Yamakado hasn't been back to his homeland for eight years. Last spring, I went to Japan with a small 16mm camera to send him views of his country. From Tokyo to Kyoto, from Kobe to Lake Towada, I visited the places where he lived to tell him about an introspective journey, through letters that speak of childhood, absence, exile, and friendship.
