SYNOPSIS

After a violent and troubled childhood of neglect, isolation and imaginary friends at the hands of her abusive mother, Lara has struggled in her adult life. She relocates to NYC in order to start over, but her social phobias and troubles with alcohol soon resurface and get in the way of both career and personal life, till one day hope comes along in the form of love. She initially resists and pushes away, self-sabotaging as she always has, afraid to let anyone in. But, he stays the course and brings her out into the light. Her therapy sessions for her troubled childhood and the non-linear dream-like sequences lead us to question both her sanity and his existence whilst he slowly awakens her to a joy for life till then completely absent. As she lets him in and begins her fight with addiction, New York opens its arms to her and she finally finds herself able to engage with life. But, just as their love-story is in its full ascendency he’s taken away from her in a tragic accident. Can she carve out a life and live the way he showed her was possible? Can you really live inside a Dream?
