SYNOPSIS

« L’enfer c’est les autres ». The film begins with Sartre’s words and everything is said. No dialogue. No words. Only the social drama that insidiously engages in the world’s song. The drama of the gaze, of the Other, of his fantasy projected on us. The drama of identity. The idea of this short film comes primarily from a personal revolt, from a situation experienced and suffered since always, arrived at such a saturation point that the urgency has declared itself in me, to bring out all this injustice, spit in the face of the world this darkness that I was always refused. Because I was too clean to shelter him. Because profiles like me are not supposed to be around violence, or even hold the slightest depth. As a blonde, Caucasian girl from the provinces, dressed in pink by her mother since childhood, with a doll face and a posture that is both feminine and well-kept, I quickly understood that the place given to me by society was reduced to that of the smooth beauty of obedience and pride. This external projection and independent of my will appeared to me all the more directly through my profession as an actress, when systematically, before even waiting to be confronted with the expression of my interiority, I was placed in a box that asked to be "dirty", "soiled". Through this project I choose to reclaim my body, my being, my identity. I choose expression to submission. However, it is not in any way to approach this project as a personal revenge and egocentric, a selfish film that would not care about the public and would be hermetic. On the contrary, the motivation and necessity of its realization are due to the fact that the subject addressed is universal. Indeed, the identity issue is omnipresent in contemporary society, as evidenced by the importance of dealing with this subject in current movies and literature, as well as the explosion of communication around organisms making it possible to search for our ethnic and genetic affiliations.
