SYNOPSIS

"Mountains" is Marzie’s graduation and debut short film. Inspired by real stories, it portrays the harrowing journey of individuals who risk everything—not just to reach safety, but to hold onto hope. Synopsis: Nivan and Zada meet in a dilapidated factory in Croatia and are waiting for their smuggler to pick them up and drive them to the next point towards their destination, which is Northern Europe. When the police arrive at night, it is the girls who leave the factory and find themselves in the middle of nowhere. They find themselves in the forest and struggle with cold, hunger and thirst. They choose to walk through the forest using the map they have received from their smuggler but lack of food, water, thirst, cold and fatigue become their enemy. At the end of that road is a minefield that they have to go through.
