SYNOPSIS

EXHALE explores the infinite options of choice in postmodern online dating. Three dates in one day trap the female philosophy student living in Berlin, in a loop, mirroring Sisyphus’ eternal climb and Nietzsche’s concept of recurrence. EXHALE captures the absurdity of modern romance in analog black and white still pictures and has the form of a photo-film in the legacy of „La Jetée“ by Chris Marker. The existential story exposes the cyclical nature of desire and the human struggle to commit.
