SYNOPSIS

A community of characters throughout a familiar green island are connected by their obsession with rain. Boglach is the Irish word for ‘soft weather’ a popular Irish term for rainy days. Boglach was created to promote Irish animation and culture at the Osaka World Expo in Japan - and so showcases the elements of life in Ireland that resonate the most deeply with director/writer Sarah Benson, like our island wide sense of connectedness among our diverse population as well as our respect for our beautiful environment, land and seascapes. These ideas are presented in Sarah's unique style of whimsical storytelling that immerses its audiences in a world of cute characters and enchanting visuals.
