SYNOPSIS

After an argument, Paul travels to his parents' house for a few days. His mind is somewhere else, but the house he grew up in takes him over completely. Familiar dynamics await him, except that his father is now in need of care and his mother is completely overburdened with caring for him. Paul is expected to make himself useful and help renovate his old nursery. But the familiar tensions and the confines of the suburb challenge him to assert himself. While Paul has to deal with his own problems, he cannot escape the realization of his parents' mortality. He has to find his place between family responsibility, the desire for separation and the need for cohesion.
