What is work? In physics, it’s the transfer of energy. Force moves an object, carries it some distance. But how does it actually work? And what about us—how do we work? What for? Why work? Does it really work? Again, What is work? “Force x Displacement” is a story about a worker, a wooden god, some eggs and animals.
