SYNOPSIS

“In The Background (2 Worlds, 1 Maze and Ghosts)” explores the gap we experience while undergoing therapy. The world gradually seems to move at different speeds, on two separate levels. The inner work we do takes us back to our past, our trauma, our memories, and forward to the future—into projections and fears—while the outer world, the real world, keeps turning. A gap emerges, and the present becomes divided between different dimensions that occasionally overlap, yet vibrate at very different rhythms.
