SYNOPSIS

Bloodlines at Sea is an experimental film that weaves together traditional cinema, archival materials, and soundscapes to investigate the entanglements between marine ecosystems, social structures, and environmental imbalances. The film traces the invisible trajectories of pollutants and greenhouse gases, following their industrial origins to the ocean’s depths, where they disrupt the delicate equilibria of living organisms. Underwater imagery unveils a realm both otherworldly and fragile, inhabited by life forms adapted to extreme conditions. Positioned within an ecofeminist framework, Bloodlines at Sea critically examines the intersections of resource extraction, bodily domination, and systemic violences that impact both natural environments and marginalized communities.
