SYNOPSIS

At the end of the summer vacation, Honghui returned to Chicago after finishing his trip to Malaysia, ready to begin a new semester. During a dinner with friends, he recounted a strange incident from his journey. One morning at the resort, a Peruvian guest quietly disappeared into the depths of the woodland. Before vanishing, the man had told Honghui that he had recently been hearing a voice from within—a call from the woodland of his homeland. Strangely, not long afterward, Honghui began to hear a similar voice. It took root inside him like a seed, growing quietly within.
