A wind chime in the drawing room observes the quiet unravelling of Vasundhara's life, a woman in her mid-40s, trapped in a stifling home with her abusive husband, her dementia-stricken mother-in-law, Jamuna, and her woke teenage daughter, Oona. While Jamuna slips into forgetfulness, Vasundhara clings to mementoes - old hair locks, broken nails, fading memories. The narrative drifts between her silent longing for the past and Jamuna's release from it. In a final conversation, Vasundhara admits she has also forgotten something, and a subtle sense of liberation marks her presence, as the wind chime keeps reminding us: forgetfulness is a form of freedom.
