In the chaos of Ballarò, beneath the statue of Madre Palermo, lives Sister Valeria. She divides her time between baptism classes and supporting women victims of trafficking. Luna, the filmmaker, ventures into this unknown world, driven by the desire to understand the dynamics of power and hospitality. Thus begins a journey that questions her identity, the Church’s role, and the legacy of colonialism, interweaving personal and collective narratives of emancipation, conflict, and transformation.
