SYNOPSIS

Zhenya comes together with her family to celebrate her grandfather's birthday. To create a joyful celebration, they rent rooms at a community center. While her mother, Nadya, as always, is absorbed in her work. Zhenya hopes to use the celebration preparations to grow closer to her. When the director of the community center unexpectedly appears, the family is confronted with their past. Long-suppressed memories resurface in the form of intimate monologues about life left behind in Kazakhstan and their new beginning in Germany.
