Logline: At the opening of a solo exhibition, a mother arrives with her newborn, and the painter Nabil insists he has never met her before until he sees himself in the child’s face. Synopsis: An ancient birth ritual, still performed until today. Words from a language long forgotten are sung as an invitation to life. A mother’s footsteps trace protective spells around her newborn, while flames struggle to exist against strong winds. Inspired by a rare moment in history — a landmark 2018 court case where, defying silence, a woman achieved legal recognition for her daughter, born from a love affair in Egypt.
