SYNOPSIS

In a small village in Upper Egypt, Mariam, a girl on the cusp of adolescence, struggles with her overbearing mother, Tefida, who pressures her brother, Saleh, to avenge their father's death. Meanwhile, Saeed offers to help Saleh in exchange for marrying Mariam—whom she despises.
