SYNOPSIS

The teenager Nastja is a Ukrainian refugee in Germany. Here she lives with her mother. They receive a message that Nastjas older brother had died in combat during the war. After Nastja and her mother had left Crimea, where they are from, he stayed and volunteered to fight in the Russian army. After receiving the message Nastja is torn by her conflicting feelings: she hates her brother, because for her he is a traitor, but at the same time his death causes a lot of pain, that she is not willing to accept. Trying to find closure, Nastja engages in an imaginary confrontation with her dead brother and is able to let him go in the end.
