SYNOPSIS

“The Widows” tells the haunting story of a woman caught in a suffocating tradition where, when a spouse dies, the surviving spouse is killed as part of an ancestral custom. Raised within this very system, Ruhan has long accepted these rituals as the natural order. But when her own time comes, she is forced to confront not only the oppressive customs of her village, but also her own internalized beliefs and silent complicity. As societal pressure tightens around her, she embarks on a quiet yet powerful journey of resistance, questioning a legacy she was once a part of enforcing.
