SYNOPSIS

Amara, following the unexpected death of her father, falls into depression and becomes skeptical of Miguel's beliefs about reincarnation. After resolving one of their constant arguments with a heated night of passion, Amara faints in the bathroom, alarming Miguel. Simultaneously, as that night unfolds for the couple, Chaos—death itself—is playing poker with them in limbo. With each bet placed using magical marbles, Miguel and Amara begin to recall everything that led them to that place—their arguments, encounters, and tragedies. Eventually, through conversations with Chaos, Amara discovers the true significance of death in the spiritual journey, while Miguel realizes that he still has unfinished business on Earth. Amara and Miguel come to understand that they arrived in limbo through tragedy—Miguel, in an attempt to rush Amara to the hospital, crashes head-on with another car. As Amara is about to win the poker game, she uncovers Chaos’s true game: her real opponent was never death, but Miguel. Choosing to lose on purpose, she expresses her love for her husband, her acceptance of death, and her embrace of the next life—so that Miguel may live.
