SYNOPSIS

In a small town in northeast China, the winter is long and snow-covered. In the dark night, the gas station on the outskirts of the town is lit alone. Liu Qiang, a young gas station worker, was sleepy during the night shift as usual. However, tonight he is awakened by a horn. Wang Xue, a classmate who had not spoken to him since graduating from elementary school, appeared at the gas station. Wang Xue invites Liu Qiang to skip work with her and drives a stolen car to wander around at night. The small town where they have been living has a snow-covered grassland as wide as the sea. Wang Xue keeps making gestures in sign language, as if to say that she wants to escape the long winter and runs towards spring. Wang Xue's sign language also cut through the calm surface of Liu Qiang's heart, causing ripples. He also began to fantasize about spring.
