SYNOPSIS

Closing one’s eyes is a kind of art. Pompeii is a fiction film which incorporates archival footage, while peeking into the lives of three best friends across three major nights in 2023. Were the signs of a burst always there? Or is it yet to come? In Tel Aviv, through spring, summer, and fall, Goni and her friends try to grip onto a world that grows increasingly confusing. Goni searches for something to cling to—or at least something that will remain unchanged.
