SYNOPSIS

Despite an influx of hardcore pornography promoted by algorithms, there’s still a niche for narrative-driven porn. Set during the filming of a low-budget porn shoot styled as 1950s Communist Hungary, just around Stalin's death, this short creative documentary shifts the gaze from the performers to the director and the process itself. In a single room, an American director and two Russian actresses attempt to stage “Communist Lesbian Porn” in Budapest, grappling with awkwardness, miscommunication, and the absurdities of amateur filmmaking. Through a fixed, observational perspective, the film captures not only the humor and discomfort of the porn set, but also the deeper tensions of performance, vulnerability, and creative insecurity that come with stepping behind the camera.
