SYNOPSIS

Rio de Janeiro, 2025: meeting of the Loners Anonymous group, where Medusa introduces herself to share her addiction to loneliness. She narrates her journey marked by abuse and the power to petrify men with her gaze, a skill -both a superpower and a curse- that arises as a consequence of her anger and pain. Throughout the short, Medusa reflects on how to channel her anger, on the consequences of isolation and the unhealed wounds she carries. She shares her quest for healing and the ways she attempts to reclaim control over her life, while she faces the scars of the past and the complexity of her own nature. With a mix of tragedy and dark humor with magical realism, the short explores Medusa’s internal struggle and her journey to cope with her own power.
