BIOGRAPHIE

Raj Yagnik has always told stories through drawing, writing, puppetry and then film. Over the last 20 years he has made over a hundred films for charities, broadcasters and commercial clients as well as a number of independent short documentaries. 

These include comedies like Puppet Access TV (C4 - 2003), documentaries like Odessa Detectives (Al Jazeera English - 2008) and animation like the multi-award-winning Because I Am A Girl (2012), You Know Me (2014), Exam Stress, Syrian Style (2017) In 2015 he produced a series of 12 short documentary films about the lives of young Syrian refugees in the Middle East “In Their Own Words”, directed“A Magical Place” in South Sudan, and “Choices” in Afghanistan. A TV ad he directed for the modelling clay “Plasticine” aired on UK TV in August 2016. Most recently he collaborated on“Things Don’t Have Rights” (2018). He works internationally through his company wiredvideo.net and lives in London with his yank wife and delightful young sons. He is very often an idiot.
