BIOGRAPHIE

Naissance à Lausanne en 1970. Licence et DES de Littérature et Philosophie (Université de Genève, 1988-98), Diplôme de réalisateur (ECAL/DAVI, 2000, film de diplôme: "Duel"). Publications d'études sur Musil, Montaigne et FA Hayek. Travaille comme réalisateur à la RTS depuis 2001; depuis 2006, réalisation d'une trentaine de reportages pour l'émission Temps Présent. En-dehors de la télévision, partage son temps entre la réalisation de projets personnels (écriture et vidéos), la lecture et le jardinage. Born in 1970 in Lausanne, Switzerland, Philippe Mach was educated in philosophy and literature at the University of Geneva (MPhil in philosophy and French literature, he published works on Montaigne, Hayek and Musil), before graduating as a filmmaker from the ECAL/DAVI in Lausanne. His graduation film, "Duel", was selected for many international film festivals. He joined the Swiss National Television (RTS) in 2001, a few days before 9/11. Since 2006, he has worked with the current affairs magazine Temps Présent, for which he has directed more than 20 feature documentaries. In addition to directing for RTS, he devotes his time to poetry and philosophy, gardening and daydreaming.
