Paulina Gálvez, award winning actress, was born in Chile and raised in Madrid, where she trained as an actress at the Cristina Rota Drama School, has worked in national and international television and film productions for 30 years. In cinema she has been directed in more than thirty films, among others by Carlos Saura in ¨Pajarico¨, Gonzalo Suárez in ¨The detective and death¨, Manane Rodríguez in ¨Portrait of a woman with a man in the background¨. Two films are pending release this year ¨Stoyan ¨ and God´s waiting room¨ screened in Tribeca. On television she has been part of the cast of more than thirty series such as ¨Hospital Central¨, ¨Poble Nou¨, ¨La Embajada¨, ¨EL Cartel¨ and recently of the international productions ¨The Purge¨ (USA) and ¨The Mallorca Files¨ (BBC). As a director, she has directed, written and produced the short film ¨The call¨ and written and co-directed¨Buscando a Julieta¨, in Los Angeles and about to be released in Festivals. She also adapted, directed, produced and performed various short plays in the United States and in Madrid. As a theatrical producer, she presented two plays that she also starred in: ¨Taitantos¨ and ¨Nadie te sconoce como yo¨. She was part of the Els Joglars theater company with whom he participated in the show ¨I have an uncle in America¨ and the series for TVE ¨Orden Especial¨. Paulina has trained with professionals such as Susan Batson, Tom Todoroff, Juan José Jusid, John Strassberg, Arcadi Levin, among many others.
