Born: April 5, 1974, Postojna. She is an architect and holds a master's degree in film. She lived and studied abroad for a few years: 1992/93 Venice, IAAS (Institute for Advanced Architectural Studies) 1998 Barcelona, 1999/2000 Copenhagen, 2002 New York and 2005-20016 Berlin. She graduated in 1999 from FALJ (Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana) with an emphasis on interior design, and in 2004 she received a master's degree in film on the topic of aesthetics in film. She studied film at the New York Digital Film Academy (2002), AGRFT (Academy of Theater, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana, 2000-2004), UDK (Universität der Künste Berlin) and DFFB (Deutsche -Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin, 2006/ 2008). As a director, costume designer and set designer, she also appeared in several film productions (Renderspace, Arcadena Studio, Production Istanbul, RTL Television, Blade production). Between 2000 and 2006, she worked as a lecturer. She has taught design at the IAM - Institute and Academy of Multimedia, SŠOF - Secondary School of Design and Photography Ljubljana, Callegari Institute, Cena Štupar Education Center, Art Studio Čurin & Lapajne. Between 2005 and 2016, she lived in Berlin. In 2006/2007 she received a scholarship to study film art at UDK and DFFB through the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). In Berlin, she participated in various exhibitions as a photographer and videographer (ARD - Hauptstaststudio, Art Center Berlin). In 2009 and 2017, she carried out numerous architectural projects for the renovation and interior design of apartments and bars, for which she is also known. She also works as a publicist. Premiera Publishing has published her book Media Images, a Kaleidoscope of Style and Fashion (Premiera, 2004), and is currently publishing articles in Hiše and magazine Outsider. In addition to short films and art videos, the film NADROŽICA is Ana's film debut and takes place in the authentic Kraš environment, where the director comes from.
