BIOGRAPHIE

Hello! I am Britt (she/her), a director, writer, producer and lecturer. I got my Master's degree in Experimental Media Design at the Berlin University of the Arts in Germany. Since 2004 I developed, produced and directed numerous shorts for the German Children’s television. I am also working as a Creative Director and advertisement film director. I taught at the University of Applied Sciences Lübeck and did workshops in interdisciplinary work at the UdK Berlin, was a mentor in the mentoring program of the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) in 2018/19, regularly design film workshops with children and was appointed to the jury of the Berlin Project Fund Cultural Education in 2021. My passion is to work on diverse and inclusive Media for Children. I already did 6 Fairytales in German Sign Language and TV shorts with and for kids with and without disabilities which won prices and got the famous German “Prädikat besonders wertvoll”. I was a fellowship member of the Academy for children’s media to develop an inclusive live action series for TV for 8-12 Years old, for which SHARK OR HYENA is the proof of concept. I am also working on theaterplays for children with the focus on aesthetics of access and my biggest passion and belief is that all children of our society should be feel seen and what a big impact and value this would have - for all of us!
