Born in Barcelona. PhD in Cinema with First Class Honours "Cum Laude" at UCM. He studied and obtained a Degree in Fine Arts (Image major) at the Barcelona University, and a Degree in Music Studies at the Barcelona Conservatory, and obtained a Teaching Certificated in Flute, Musical Theory & Solfa, and Piano.
He created in 1993 a Film Independent company directing and producing short films. One of them was presented in 1998 at the Sitges International Film Festival and was awarded with several prizes.
As a filmmaker, his work has been shown at 100 internationals festivals worldwide, in the most important International Festivals in Spain (San Sebastian), France (Cinéma de Réel), Germany (Transmediale), Argentina (Mar del Plata), Italy, India, Colombia, and also on TV.
He has won several internationals awards, for 200 km (which won the Golden Gate of San Francisco, was presented at San Sebastian Film Festival, and at the Centre Pompidou, and has been released in cinemas), for Don Giovanni (which earned the Golden Accord of Vienna), El Porquet (presented at Sitges Fantastic Film Festival 1998), and Études Schaefferiennes (Transmediale Berlin, Caja Madrid Fundation).
As a musician, he has written a libretto for a children Opera, and published two scores.
He teaches cinema at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid.
