BIOGRAPHIE

María Antón Cabot (1982) is a director, editor and screenwriter. She holds a postgraduate degree in film from Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola and a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UOC. In 2009, together with Gabriel Azorín, Carlos Pardo, Jorge Medal and Elena López Riera, she founded the research and audiovisual practices collective lacasinegra. She has worked on films such as PAS À GENÈVE (2014) by lacasinegra as editor and scriptwriter, premiered at the Seville Festival; UNA VEZ FUIMOS SALVAJES (2016), by Carmen Bellas as editor and scriptwriter, awarded at Alcances and Novos Cinemas; <3 (2018), as director, editor and co-writer, produced by DVEIN Films, premiered at DOK Leipzig and awarded at the Seville Festival; H (2022) by Carlos Pardo Ros as editor, produced by DVEIN Films and premiered at Visions du Reel; SÓC VERTICAL PERÒ M'AGRADARIA SER HORITZONTAL (2022), as director, editor, and screenwriter, produced by DVEIN Films. In addition to her work as a director and editor, she currently works as a project mentor at ECAM (Madrid Film School).
