Justin Koch was born in 1979. He studied media art and cinema at the HFG Karlsruhe with Prof. Edgar Reitz, Prof. Andrei Ujica, Prof. Barbara Albert, Razvan Radulescu. His last shortfilm - The Swimsuit - was shown on several international and national festivals e.g. Montreal World Film Fest, Filmfest Dresden and has been distributed by shortsinternational worldwide. Justin works as a freelance director and writer and also concepts exhibitions which for example won the german design award 2019 in gold and bronze. For the 30 years celebration of the fall of the berlin wall and the peaceful revolution Justin concepted the video art show that took place on 7 iconic buildings in Berlin(e.g. Alexanderplatz or Humboldforum) together with the artist collective urbanscreen - one of the worlds leading pioneers of projection mapping. PASSAGE is his newest fictional shortfilm that he shot in autumn 2019 deep in the woods, on a military training ground and an abandoned village in Germany.
