BIOGRAPHIE

Domenico De Orsi is a director and editor. He graduated in History of Art and was assistant professor of Documentary Cinematography at the University of Naples. He has been a professional editor since 2007. He lives and works in Rome, collaborating with independent cinema and Italian television. As a documentary film editor, he has worked for major broadcasters such as National Geographic, RAI, ARTE, Discovery. In 2017, he founded the production company Purple Neon Lights. He has directed television programmes for Italian television and internationally awarded short films. In 2019, he won the Best Director Award at the 35th International Critics' Week of the Venice Film Festival with the short film "Gagarin, I will miss you".
