Ata Mojabi

BIOGRAPHIE

Ata Mojabi, born in 1982, is a filmmaker, screenwriter and film-making educator from Iran and a member of the Iranian Short Film Association (ISFA). Since 2012, he has been cooperating with the Iranian Youth Cinema Society as an educator and expert, and is currently the director of the Tehran branch office of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society. He is a graduate of IYCS film school, and has also received his master's degree in Cinema from the Arts and Architecture faculty of Tehran Azad University. As a screenwriter and director, he has made 11 short fiction and experimental films since 2004, all of which are efforts to invent a personal tone and style in Noir film and experimental cinema. So far, he has collaborated with several international film festivals (such as 36th & 38th Tehran International Short Film Festival - 12th Globe International Silent Film Festival (GISFF) ) as a selection committee and has also participated in several regional short film festivals as a selection committee and jury. In addition to making short films, Mojabi has experiences as script writer for web series, as well as production designing and producing short films, and has collaborated with several Iranian and European teams in this field, and in this regard has won awards in international Pitching competition
