BIOGRAPHIE

Rui Falcão, 1989, is a Portuguese film director from Miranda do Douro. He attended the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, Lisbon, the Baltic Film & Media School, Tallinn, and the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, where he directed the experimental short film “Balança” in 2013, in a school context. In 2020, directed his first short fiction film “La Tierra de l Passado”. The two films were present in more than 50 festivals in 25 countries, accumulating several awards and mentions. In 2023, he returns to his homeland to direct “Capa de Honras, La Cuonta de l Garotico i l Bielho”, a film inspired by his childhood and the traditions of Miranda do Douro.
