After Semih Korhan Güner dropped out of school, he first worked at customs in Istanbul and then as an animator in hotels and as a lifesaver in the swimming pools of Miami. He then studied film and television at Marmara University. Since 2016, he has lived in Germany, where he completed his postgraduate studies at the KHM with distinction in 2020. He is currently writing his debut film, in which German tourists in Turkish hotels talk about all-inclusive buffets. He also produces a short feature film about Höfesterben in Germany.
