BIOGRAPHIE
John Angus Stewart has written and directed 6 short films and directed 16 music videos. His short films have been selected and screened at Film Festivals internationally including: Venice Biennale, BFI London Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, New York International Film Festival, AFI Film Festival, IDFA, Clermont Ferrand, CPH: DOX, Frame-Line and many more. In 2020 John directed and shot his first feature length documentary “CHUNKY SHRAPNEL”, which followed the Melbourne based band “King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard” on a live tour of Europe. The film’s distribution, affected by COVID, pivoted from theatrical to online and achieved outsized commercial success through two 24 hour-only VOD rental streaming windows in April 2020. John is currently developing his first narrative feature film, also titled “Rival Dealer”.
