Su-Jin Song is a writer, director and producer based in Germany. She worked for international co-productions between Germany, USA and South Korea and lived two years in Seoul. Then she moved back to Germany and studied creative producing at the ifs international film school Cologne. During her studies Su-Jin Song received a scholarship from the VFF for young producers. Her graudation film “Ein Märchen von einer unmöglichen Stelle im Universum” (Engl. A fairytale with a completely imagined ending) was a great success and won many awards at national and international festivals and was nominated for the German short film award. Su-Jin worked as a producer for a Cologne based production company and also realized her own documentary series “Unsere Eomeoni” as writer and director, which was part of the special exhibition “Beyond Borders and Boundaries” at the Seoul Museum of History. In 2015 she went to graduate school for Game Development & Research at the Cologne Game Lab to further study innovative and interactive media formats. Su-Jin Song has produced and directed several fiction and documentary films as creative producer and director. Her recent documentary series “Refugee Roads” is now available on the German streaming platform Joyn. Su-Jin Song founded autumn song production, a creative studio and collective, developing films and series with a special focus on diverse and original stories about hybrid cultures and identities.
