BIOGRAPHIE

LIN Shih-chieh holds an MFA in Film and Video from the California Institute of the Arts and currently lives in Taipei. He makes experimental films, video art and sound art that explore the main subjects of memories, space, dreams, consciousness and their interrelationship in real, everyday contexts. His recent works interpret contemporary everyday phenomena with myths and fables and analyze the origin of narratives. His “A Short History of Decay” won Best Experimental Film and Best Sound Design at Taiwan’s Golden Harvest Awards 2015 and was the opening film of Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg.
