BIOGRAPHIE
Pol Ponsarnau is a film director for fiction, documentary and music videos work, living and frequently shuttling between his two homes: Barcelona and Berlin. Born in Canet de Mar (Barcelona) in 1980, he received a BA+MA degree in Audiovisual Communication at the UPF in Barcleona and spent 2002 at FAMU in Prague. Currently studying a Master in "Contemporary Art, Literature and Culture” at UOC. In 2008 he co-produced and edited the feature documentary 'B-Side' by Eva Vila, premiered at In-Edit Film Festival Barcelona. 'B-Side' travelled to international documentary film festivals like International Film Festival Rotterdam, Docs Lisboa, Cali International Film Fest. In 2016 his first short film 'Food First' premiered in Dresden International Film Festival and has been in 70+ international festivals. Pol Ponsarnau is currently working as a director Berlin, Barcelona and México. His most recent fiction project, “Tara and the Blue” is ready to be preimiered in 2020.
