BIOGRAPHIE

Born in Belgium yet her Chinese-Vietnamese roots gave Lai Kin the benefit of writing and directing stories that combine Chinese culture with a western touch. With a passion for arts and film, Lai Kin graduated from the animation film department at the RITCS, Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema and Sound in Brussels. She has been active in the field of animation and worked for several feature length films. As a producer and researcher of the documentary Chopstick Conversations she penetrates the world of the Chinese overseas communities. Lai Kin is also mentor and lecturer at the RITCS. She was a guest lecturer at the Latvian Academy of Culture and Tampere University of Applied Science. Lai Kin has been a jury member for several film festivals such as Sleepwalkers in Tallinn and Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival.
