BIOGRAPHIE

DIRECTOR AND SCREENWRITER SOFIA BORGES born in Portugal, studied Visual Arts/ Painting and Curatorial Studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. She works in relation to local communities, politics, public space, media installation and film. These projects are developed through proximity, supported by dialogue and participation of the local communities. Presented in different contexts: in the communities, art exhibitions, public spaces, publications and film festivals, awarded at Indie Lisboa in Portugal and film festivals in Italy, India and Spain. Her video installation work, “53” was exhibited in 2022 at the São Tomé Biennial of Art and I will be in Bienal VideoBrasil (São Paulo) in October of 2023.
