Yu Zhang

BIOGRAPHIE

Yu Zhang is a director, writer, line producer and editor. Graduated from Beijing Film Academy, he made his first short film, Baptism, in 2020. He studied Journalism at Communication University of China and gained his master's degree at the University of  Southern California. When in America, he worked with Morris Ruskin, producer of "Glengarry Glen Ross," to evaluate scripts and projects, including "JOWLS." After that, he founded a Sino-US scriptwriter studio with Hollywood script doctor Scott Sommer and Emmy winning writer Bill Grunfest and was in charge of evaluations for projects, such as the China-US co-production film "Blocking Sky." In 2017, he joined the Script Center at Huace Entertainment Beijing to help plan and write TV projects such as "Octogenarian and the '90s", "Entrepreneurial Age" and "Struggle." Now he worked mainly as a director.
