BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Ecuadorian director, writer and producer. With his production company Aguacero Cine, based in Ecuador and Costa Rica, he develops several fiction and non-fiction projects. His first documentary film La Tola Box premiered in commercial theaters in Ecuador and was selected in various international film festivals. He participated in the Screenwriting Fund at the Amiens Festival and in Produire au Sud at the 3 Continents Festival in France. His new fiction film No quiero nombrar la muerte won the screenwriting grant from Ecuador’s National Film Institute (ICCA). He studied at the Escuela Nacional de Cine de Argentina and then documentary at the Universidad Popular de Las Madres de Plaza de Mayo. He has also studied music, with a concentration in piano. In 2000 he won the international poetry prize “Valentín Arteaga” given in Spain.
