Piotr Malecki

BIOGRAPHIE

Piotr Malecki is a photojournalist who started documentary filmmaking in 2011. For his first series of web shorts Piotr was awarded 2-nd prize Multimedia Photographer of the Year at the POYi 2012 contest in USA. His documentary “Out of the Blue” premiered at 2015 DOK Leipzig festival and received awards and international nominations at other festivals. Piotr finished the Wajda Film School in Poland, studied photography in Bournemouth, England and cinematography at the University of Silesia. He is a grantee of Polish Ministry of Culture and of the Tribeca If/Then program. In his work Piotr focuses on projects showing the passion for life and for art and lightness in every, even hard circumstances.
