BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Fon Cortizo (Vigo, 1978) received the award for best international film at the Gijon Film Festival (FICX) in 2020 for his first fiction feature, 9 Fugas (9 Fugues). In recent years, he has written and directed short films and documentaries such as Contrafaces (2015), Aysha (2016), Americano (2017) and Bumblebee (2024). His work has been screened at festivals such as Shanghai (SIFF), New Horizons, Edinburg, Visions du Reel, D'A, Zinebi and Gijón. He currently manages the film project development residence, Conecta Lab, on the island of San Simón.
