[EN] Luciënne Venner (°1989, Baexem, Netherlands) lives and works in Amsterdam. She is a Gerrit Rietveld Academie trained performance Artist and filmmaker. She completed her study for Special make-up effects and Hair-school. By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language, she seduces the viewer into a world of ongoing equilibrium and the interval that articulates the stream of daily events. Moments are depicted that only exist to punctuate the human drama in order to clarify our existence and to find poetic meaning in everyday life. Her performances appear as dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet. She wants to amplify the astonishment of the spectator by creating compositions or settings that generate tranquil poetic images that leave traces and balances on the edge of recognition and alienation. By doing so, new sequences are created which reveal an inseparable relationship between motion and sound. Amongst others Luciënne Venner has been featured in shows of, FOAM, Amsterdam(2015), Rotterdam Art Week, Rotterdam (2015), De Punt, Amsterdam (2014), Orgelpark, Amsterdam (2014), Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, Moscow (2013), Outline, Amsterdam (2013), Arti et Amicitiae, Amsterdam (2013), Retort, Amsterdam (2013), Mediamatic Fabric, Amsterdam (2013), Brakke grond, Amsterdam (2012), Club Trouw, Amsterdam (2012) and MC theater, Amsterdam (2011).
